Position is based in either **Sidney, Ohio.** or **St. Louis, MO.** The position is responsible for leading and managing the Trade Compliance Operations for the Copeland US business units by ensuring all cross-border activity is conducted in a safe, secure, and compliant manner. You will provide organizational leadership for the US Trade Compliance team by making sure adequate staffing and training are in place to achieve company goals and objectives. You will support multiple manufacturing, distribution, and corporate office sites throughout the United States, and work closely with the Legal and Compliance team on strategy deployment, process development, and best practice sharing. **AS A TRADE COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS (TCO) MANAGER, YOU WILL:** + Develop and maintain Copeland US Trade Compliance Operations (TCO) policies and procedures. + Ensure supply chain security requirements are met per Legal and Compliance guidelines. + Work closely and train all business users ( Procurement, Sales, Engineering, etc) on their specific responsibilities in conducting business in a compliance manner. + Lead objective setting, measurement, reporting and process improvement initiatives. + Along with Legal and Compliance team, monitor and communicate applicable regulatory developments and ensure timely and effective implementation of corresponding controls. + As required, work closely with Legal and Compliance team, external legal counsel, brokers/forwarders and US Trade Authorities. + Lead and drive system automation and process improvement initiatives. + Lead and ensure the accurate and timely completion of the self-assessment audit program. + Ensure all open findings are addressed and completed per the agreed upon enterprise timetable. + Lead and drive all training applications for the Gatekeeper Program to ensure the impacted business users are knowledgeable, aware and can detect activity that may impact our ability to comply with US regulations. + As required, visit off-site locations for audits, training and best practice sharing + Address TCO questions and escalations from business personnel. + Other TCO tasks and projects as assigned. . **REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:** + Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field) plus three (3) years of demonstrated trade compliance experience. + Excellent leadership background + Ability to interpret and apply trade laws and regulations as they relate to everyday situations. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and effective execute. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite + Travel up to 15% + Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role **PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:** + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or International Trade + Customs Broker License or similar certifications (e.g. Certified Import Specialist, Certified Export Specialist, etc) + Graduate degree (e.g. MBA, JD) + Experience with Oracle business systems and/or Oracle Global Trade Management. **Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Option and Core Hours:** This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
