About your next challenge as Trade Compliance Senior Specialist :
What you will do:
+ Implement L3Harris policies, procedures and U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements, while building a culture of compliance;
+ Work with internal / external stakeholders to obtain supporting documents, for Canadian export and brokering permits and U.S. export, re-export and re-transfer license applications;
+ Manage the Canadian export and brokering permit application process with Global Affairs Canada;
+ Support with the management of Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Third Party Transfers (TPT), Warehouse Distribution Agreements (WDA) and Technology Control Plans (TCP);
+ Support the determination of Export Classification and Jurisdiction of purchased and manufactured items (i.e. ECCN, USML, ECL, BCL, CGP);
+ Review and approve technical data transfer and shipment requests;
+ Provide regular and ad hoc Trade Compliance training and guidance for internal stakeholders to increase the organization’s awareness of Trade Compliance policies, procedures and applicable laws related to trade, exports and import compliance;
+ Assist with trade compliance investigations, risk mitigation, audits and self-assessments.
Required Skills and Experiences:
+ Bachelors Degree, or related technical area, 5-10 years of industry experience;
+ Project management experience, organizational and prioritization skills;
+ Keen attention to detail, with the ability to learn and comprehend highly detailed laws and regulations;
+ Very good analytical skills working with large amounts of data;
+ Facilitator who looks at complex issues as opportunities and brings forward multiple solutions / paths for each opportunity;
+ Demonstrated ability to perform research across both technical and regulatory / legal environments;
+ Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written, with proven ability to influence change Trade Compliance Regulatory experience (EIPA, CGP, ITAR, EAR, etc.).
Eligibility Criteria :
+ Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
+ Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
+ Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
