As a Reconciliations Team Manager in the Private Banking Operations team, you will lead efforts to ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of client accounts across multiple currencies. You will drive process improvements, manage team performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. You will be responsible for resolving discrepancies, analyzing trends, and maintaining compliance with corporate policies. Your leadership will support our mission to deliver exceptional client experiences and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage reconciliations of all private banking accounts across various currenciesInvestigate and resolve breaks and discrepancies between internal and counterparty statementsAnalyze and report on open items, trends, and ageing through detailed MISTrack, analyze, and follow up on outstanding requirementsSupport the team in delivering high-quality operationsHandle miscellaneous requests and assist with research and investigationDocument procedures and identify requirements for additional controlsCoach and provide feedback to team members to enhance performanceResolve conflicts, negotiate, and manage difficult conversationsIdentify and mitigate risks by implementing appropriate controlsConduct periodic process reviews and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Strong knowledge of Reconciliation functions in Financial Services operations.Proven relationship-building skills with diverse groups and senior executives.Client focus, with experience servicing sensitive trust relationships and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.Ability to manage large teams, develop key talent, as well as manage the expectations of people. Ability to manage groups remotely across multiple locations. Be able to drive positive changes, promote ownership and demonstrate "My business Mentality". Experience with private banking or trust operationsAdvanced data analysis and MIS reporting skillsFamiliarity with corporate accounting policies and proceduresExperience implementing operational controls and risk mitigation strategiesTrack record of successful process optimization initiativesAbility to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results in a fast-paced environmentProfessional certification in operations or financial services (e.g., CPA, CFA)
