Step into the role of Trade Lifecycle Associate I at JPMorgan Chase, where you'll be a vital part of Market Operations Payment Utility team wherein your expertise and knowledge in cash operations will be essential in ensuring seamless payment processing and operational excellence.
As a Trade Lifecycle Associate I within the Market Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the operations of post-trading life cycle across all asset classes. Your expertise in cash operations and coordination with other business lines will ensure seamless payment processing on our platforms. You will leverage your broad knowledge of swift messages and practices to propose and implement improvements to our current working methods. Your role will involve diverse activities requiring analysis and judgement within defined boundaries. Your proficiency in listening and questioning, internal stakeholder management, presentation skills, process improvement, and automation will be key to your success in this role. You will also have the opportunity to develop your data and tech literacy skills while working with us.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the day to day operations for payment processing, execute error free operations under pressure with multiple market cut offs, identify and escalate any exceptions and effectively work in teams to deliver daily BAU.
Job responsibilities Provide the operational support, in the day to day management of the business deliverables of the team such as accurate review of payment transactions and releasing within the thresholds. Manage accountability for service quality of the team. Ensure operational procedures are followed and that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Support the process Vice President in their mission to provide top quality operations in support of this global business. Collaborate with other lines of business to facilitate proper manual payment processing, establishing productive working relationships to drive mutually beneficial outcomes. Contribute to the review and improvement of payment platform and processes, applying knowledge of process improvement methodologies to optimize operations. Support strategic projects in partnership with Product, Tech, and Change partners, applying change management skills to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and technologies. Understand Risk Management and should be able to manage the issues exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution. Ensure all daily queries dealt with within required SLAs and escalate issues on a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis to increase Straight Through Processing (STP) and strengthen client experience. Participate in global and local projects including firm wide events, trainings, site events, team meetings/events that demonstrates JP Morgan How We Do Business Principles. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills at least 6 years of experience or equivalent expertise in Markets and Securities operations, Banking and Financial Services/Treasury Environment or related function. Demonstrated familiarity with Swift Format Messages (MT103/202, 192/292, 199/299). Understanding of SWIFT/MX Messages, Cross Border Payments is a must. Strong communication, organization and leadership skills. Strong Control & Audit mindset and understanding of policies/regulations in the industry. Good relationship-building and time management skills Advanced skills in process improvement methodologies, with a track record of optimizing operations in a financial services environment. Experience in managing strategic projects in partnership with Product, Tech, and Change partners, with a focus on change management and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in automation technologies and systems architecture, with a focus on implementing automation optimization and initiatives in payment environment. Exposure to business intelligence tools (I.E. Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, SQL, AI); Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Prior custody/treasury operation services, markets operational experience. Demonstrated familiarity with Swift Format Messages (MT103/202, 192/292, 199/299). Advance knowledge in MX Messages is an advantage Exposure to business intelligence tools (I.E.
