Trade Lifecycle Manager (Custody Trades)

As a Trade Lifecycle Manager within our Operations team, you will manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades, focusing on fails. You will be responsible for processing and validating failing trades, monitoring and managing trade capture, fails management, and settlement activities. You will also address settlement discrepancies/issues promptly and respond to queries relating to trade status and market practice. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of Custody products and refine technology customer and client experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades, focused Fails. Process and validate failing trades, in accordance with the established work practices and procedures in CIC Trades Monitor and manage trade capture, fails management and settlement activities Address settlement discrepancies/issues and leverage escalation channels promptly Respond to queries relating to trade status and market practice Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization. Continued review of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activities. Contribute to the strategic development of Custody products

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Minimum 4 years in Financial Services industry with  custody & fund services, markets background Strong Risk and Control Awareness: Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externally Operational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Settlements, Fails Management, Trade Support, Risk and Control, and Custody Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes. Strong risk and control awareness, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines Strategic thinker, ability to review and implement process improvements. Complete knowledge of trade lifecycle and role of custodian bank

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Preferably with Global Custody or Local Custody background Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred Experience in driving projects and initiatives Familiarity with swift messages specifically MT54 series Good knowledge in MS Office Suite applications - MS Word, Excel and Power Point Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality. Flexibility working on APAC and late APAC shift      (as early as 6am to 11am start of shift)
