As a Trade Lifecycle Manager II within the Client Instruction Capture and Settlements team, you will be primarily involved in Trades Processing. Your responsibilities will include operational management and control of the daily workflow, collaborating with Fails Management and Trades Support Teams. You will be part of an Operations team that develops and manages innovative, secure service solutions to meet global client needs. Leveraging the latest technology, you will work towards delivering industry-leading capabilities to our clients and customers, ensuring ease and convenience in doing business with the firm. Your role will also involve promoting growth by refining technology-promoten customer and client experiences that prioritize user needs, thereby providing an unparalleled experience.
Job responsibilities:
Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades Manage and monitor trade capture, fails management and settlement activitiesAddress settlement discrepancies/issues and leverage escalation channels promptlyRespond to queries relating to trade status and market practice Provide operational management and control of the daily workflow within the Custody TeamMaximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planningProvide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organizationReview of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activitiesContribute to the strategic development of Custody productsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:
At least 3 years management experience in an Operations roleStrong people management skills and develop/guide staff in a team orientated environmentStrong Risk and Control Awareness: Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlinesExcellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externallyOperational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Settlements, Fails Management, Trade Support, Risk and Control, and CustodyStrong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processesStrong risk and control awareness, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlinesConfident communicator in all mediums with both internal and external clientsStrategic thinker, ability to review and implement process improvementsProficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferredGlobal Custody or Local Custody backgroundExperience in driving projects and initiativesFamiliarity with swift messages specifically MT54 seriesGood knowledge in MS Office Suite applications - MS Word, Excel and Power PointCapable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.Flexibility working on APAC and late APAC shift (as early as 6am to 11am start of shift)
