Trade Lifecycle Manager II

As a Trade Lifecycle Manager II within the Client Instruction Capture and Settlements team, you will be responsible for the operational management and control of the daily workflow. You will have the opportunity to manage Trades Processing, Broker Facing and Fails Management, and Trades Support. We value strong people management skills and the ability to develop and guide staff in a team-oriented environment. Your role will be critical in addressing settlement discrepancies/issues and ensuring effective communication within the department. Role is part of Client Instruction Capture and Settlements and will be assigned managing Trades Processing, Broker Facing and Fails Management, Trades Support.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades  Monitoring and management of trade capture, fails management and settlement activities Address settlement discrepancies/issues and leverage escalation channels promptly Respond to queries relating to trade status and market practice  Manage operational management and control of the daily workflow within the Custody Team Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization Review content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activities Contribute to the strategic development of Custody products

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

3+ years management experience in an Operations role Strong people management skills and develop/guide staff in a team orientated environment Strong Risk and Control Awareness: Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externally Operational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Settlements, Fails Management, Trade Support, Risk and Control, and Custody Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes Strong risk and control awareness, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines Confident communicator in all mediums with both internal and external clients Strategic thinker, ability to review and implement process improvements Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Global Custody or Local Custody background Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred Experience in driving projects and initiatives Familiarity with swift messages specifically MT54 series Good knowledge in MS Office Suite applications - MS Word, Excel and Power Point Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality. Flexibility working on APAC and late APAC shift      (as early as 6am to 11am start of shift)
