Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations. Supports ELSE Business to ensure goods are shipped whilst meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. Develop, maintain and improve transport / logistics processes to optimize inbound and / or outbound product and material delivery to external and internal clients.The work model for the role is: OnsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:• Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).• Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.• Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.• Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.• Uses various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling. Customs and trade applications.• Prepares and updates monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to customer locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with project / sales team.• Coordinates daily activities to track location and movement of finished goods and raw materials via all transport modes, re-routes freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost. Communicates fulfilment status to Logistics and Sales organizations as required• Works closely with transport service providers and brokers to assure efficient, cost-effective execution of business requirements, obtaining necessary transport permits and codes, prepares transportation paperwork for import and export.• Fulfils shipping, packing, and advises on marking procedures per project requirements in compliance with governmental regulations. • Data management Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data when required.
Qualifications for the roleBachelors Degree or National Diploma in Transport or Logistics management 5 years of relevant experience Familiar with working on SAP & BOL Strong knowledge of transport planning and order handling process. Must be a team player, customer oriented and an ability to perform under pressure Solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills Microsoft office experience essential for role
