Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.The work model for the role is: #onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution in Bac Ninh, VietnamYou will be mainly accountable for:- Monitors daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers. Acts as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).- Understands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made. Maintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers.- Audits customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving. Ensures all customs-related records are maintained and archived correctly.- Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.- Communicates with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution.- Maintains relevant data in the local trade and customs applications (e.g., SAP Global Trade Services).- Supervises customs broker’s daily performance and cost, taking action to ensure compliance with associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.About 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry.Experience with international trade regulations and compliance is often preferred.In-depth understanding of transportation and trade regulations, including import&export laws.Willingness to work flexible hours and provide operational support outside of business hours if needed.Possess SAP experience
