The Trade & Working Capital Client Service Team is responsible for the servicing of Commercial and Structured Trade Finance products. The team is also required to use in-depth product knowledge to resolve challenging client facing issues during the product life.
As a Client Service Account Manager within our Trade & Working Capital team, you will be a Commodities Subject Matter Expert (“SME”), demonstrating a a proven experience in the Trade Department of a leading International Bank with a focus on client experience and service. You will be managing the process of issuing, confirming and discounting Letters of Credit (“LC”) and Standby Letters of Credit (“SBLC”) on behalf of Corporates and FI clients.
Job responsibilities
Demonstrate and apply in depth knowledge of LC/SBLC mechanisms and knowledge/understanding of Trade flows Be an expert in key market practices in the sector. For example, ability to identify if certain clauses are considered as market practice or if they are not common in the industry Explain the clients’ LC requirements to internal stakeholders, assessing key risks and mitigants for the bank Share industry expertise with Client Service Account Managers to develop and maintain SME status within the team Operate in a collaborative environment and possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization; ability to work within tight deadlines Understand the Commodity products lifecycle from front to back and be the “go-to” person within the team Partner with Trade Sales as Trusted Advisor to enable new business and solutions Work closely with the Client Service, Operations, and Compliance teams and other regions to close gaps and standardise processes / improve consistency. Communicate with clients to solve immediate day-to-day issues on live transactions as well as understand their long term needs to shape business decisionsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
SME of Trade products in terms of product characteristics, risk, market data and industry trends Previous experience in another Financial Institution dealing with Trade Finance Letters of Credit products Ability to articulate a commercial rationale to Client Service Account Managers and Operations teams covering transactions Analytical and process improvement mindset Confident communicator able to adapt style to internal and external stakeholders Ability to influence demanding individuals Impact to drive meetings with senior Operations, Service and Compliance management to articulate complex terms and mitigate risks Demonstrate strong teamwork and values mindset Thrive on working in fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Fast learner with the ability to think out of the box and provide solutionsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
