Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trademark Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with global trademark management and enforcement, as well as handling invoice processing and budget management related to intellectual property matters. This role can be expanded to work in other Intellectual Property areas for a candidate with the interest and aptitude to expand their role.  A successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Trademark Management:Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of trademark applications.Conduct trademark searches and analyze results to assess availability and potential conflicts.Monitor and manage trademark portfolios, including facilitating renewals and maintenance of registrations.Coordinate with external counsel for international trademark filings and enforcement actions.Enforcement and Compliance:Support enforcement efforts against trademark infringements and unauthorized use.Assist in drafting cease and desist letters and other enforcement-related correspondence.Maintain records of enforcement activities and outcomes.Invoice and Budget Management:Process and manage invoices related to Intellectual Property expenses.Track and report on trademark-related expenses and budget allocations.Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment and budget adherence.Administrative Support:Coordinate and schedule team meetingsManage and processing incoming communications and mailAssist with special projects and other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificationMinimum of five years of experience as a trademark paralegal or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of trademark laws and procedures.Experience with invoice processing and budget management preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
