Airswift is seeking a Trader to work in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with one of our clients.
We’re seeking an experienced Trader to join our Arbitrage, foreign exchange and market making team, with a focus on the Argentine market. You will help shape local operations and collaborate with global teams on cutting-edge trading strategies.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Exchanges: Communicate with exchange counterparts to manage margin requirements, borrows, trade discrepancies, and market-making obligations.
Facilitate Optimal Execution: Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to execute trades and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Ensure Accurate Trade Booking: Liaise with trading, middle office, and finance teams to confirm trades are recorded correctly and reconciled across front and back-office systems.
Research and Development: Support the creation and refinement of new trading strategies, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative insights.
Quantitative Analysis: Assist in the analytical and data-driven evaluation of our trading strategies, offering improvements and adjustments to enhance their performance.
Strategy Ideation and Testing: Contribute to idea generation, strategy formulation, back-testing, and real-world implementation.
Live Trading Oversight: Monitor and analyze ongoing trading programs to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in algorithmic or high-frequency trading within emerging or traditional markets.
Track record of team leadership, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Familiarity with trading infrastructure, including FIX, APIs, and market data feeds.
Technical proficiency (e.g. Python, R, SQL) for quantitative analysis and back-testing.
Established network within the Argentine financial community-brokers, exchanges, regulators, etc.
Proven ability to set, communicate, and realize a compelling strategic vision, adapting to emerging trends and complex market dynamics.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with regulators, investors, clients, and global teams; fluency in Spanish and English required.
