As our new Trades Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out duties including dismantling under guidance, cleaning, grit blasting, buffing, painting, tagging, and packaging duties at the Gladstone workshop. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Assist Service Technicians under mentorship of the technician or Lead Technicians Complete documentation in a tidy and timely manner to facilitate the process of data and quality related documentation. Maintain a proven understanding of required cleaning procedures of mechanical components. Proficiently carry out workshop practices, demonstrating a safe and methodical work attitude with quality outcomes Follow all reasonable directions from senior technicians in aiding in remedial processing of various valve types, PRV PSV or control valves. Prepare and clean components accurately and efficiently as advised using safe workshop practices. Prepare and paint valves, actuators and control flow equipment to required specifications. Accurately prepare and tag nameplate labeling and fit to assorted valves. Lead and complete daily planned activities, to meet Emerson and customer requirements. Meet goals set by the supervisor to achieve customer requirements. Ensure daily housekeeping is maintained to a high standard within the designated work area. Demonstrate and use safe industry standard techniques when preparing goods for transport. Make recommendations for driving cost reduction initiatives and technology improvements. Regularly review processes and make suggestions for improvements. Observe and abide by relevant policies, procedures and strategies. Develop and maintain working relationships with all employees and ensure regular communication. Communicate clearly issues and problems found with individual jobs.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Minimum of 2yrs experience in the mechanical repair and refurbishment of flow control equipment. Knowledge of safety and environmentally conscious workplaces with behaviors that align with Emerson’s standards.Our Offer to You:
