Downer Rail and Transit Systems are committed to providing the highest quality Rollingstock & Overhaul services for the Australian market. We are currently seeking a skilled Painter/Blaster to join our team in Maryborough, QLD. - Full time 6-month Fixed term 

Responsibilities:

Perform all application methods of protective coatings, including conventional spray, airless spray, brush, and roller. Complete surface preparation, mixing processes, and paint application. Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Proficiently manage the safe storage and usage of solvents, chemicals, and paints. Apply quality systems and verify quality against compliance standards. Work hands-on with the ability to operate unsupervised and within a team environment. Maintain a comprehensive understanding and commitment to upholding a ZERO Harm environment.

Previous Experience:

Must have Spray Painting trade qualifications. EWP (Elevated Work Platform) and working at heights tickets are desirable but not essential. Experience in Heavy Industrial Maintenance or Rollingstock background is highly regarded.
