As a Trading Services Specialist within the Equities Markets department at JPM, you will manage margin settlement for Futures & Options and OTC Cleared Products. You will undertake the task of agreeing and settling margin values with clients to cover the bank's risk for CCP Trading Cleared activity. This role provides an opportunity to develop the Clearing Client Service offering and generate efficiencies, while providing flexible support to the prime brokerage/clearing businesses in a changing market environment.
Job Responsibilities
Manage margin settlement for Futures & Options and OTC Cleared Products within the Equities Markets department at JPM. Undertake the task of agreeing and settling margin values with clients to cover the bank's risk for CCP Trading Cleared activity. Provide a controlled environment to mitigate counterparty risk by monitoring and collecting eligible assets. Book client-agreed margins and respond to incoming margin calls by comparing them to JP Morgan's exposure. Follow up on failed settlements and investigate disputed margin requirements. Resolve queries regarding client portfolios, such as trade breaks and interest calculations. Escalate issues accurately in line with regulatory requirements. Develop the Clearing Client Service offering and generate efficiencies. Provide flexible support to the prime brokerage/clearing businesses in a changing market environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Operations. Have 2+ years of experience in external client services or similar roles involving interaction with senior internal clients and relationship building with stakeholders like clients, credit executives, and business partners. Possess working knowledge of OTC derivative products, futures, and options. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy, along with effective communication and presentation skills. Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and responsibility, with excellent client focus and customer care practices. Maintain a control mindset, being aware of issues and risks affecting processes or the organization.
