Traffic Coordinator Apply now » Date: Feb 25, 2025 Location: Shiremanstown, PA, US, 17011 Company: Dorman Products Job Summary + To manage all freight issues. + Responsible for combining customer orders on a truck load and routing that load in a manner that is both profitable as well as timely. + Quality control of shipping orders. Primary Duties + Performs quality control of shipping orders on a daily basis. + Arranges carriers and pick-ups. + Assists in completion of log and customer orders. + Maintains UPS and Federal Express manifests. + General Customer Service from order to receipt. + Recommends freight carriers to customers and is responsible for export shipments made. + Completes all related paperwork for shipping including bill of lading. + Will input data related to shipping loads into AS/400 system. + Performs routine office clerk responsibilities such as filing, data entry, ordering of office supplies. + Will personally meet with company reps to discuss pricing, service etc. + Updates NAFTA certificate of origin for each export customer. Qualifications + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. + Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, area, percentages, proportions, circumference and volume. + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. + Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Education / Experience + One year certificate from college or technical school OR + 3-6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
