Job Title: Traffic Engineer
Job Description

The Traffic Engineer will specialize in transportation and traffic engineering projects, specifically working with traffic analysis, signal design, and transportation design. They will join the local team in Lansing, Michigan.

ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering and design for traffic signal sequencing, traffic analysis, traffic signal design, traffic phasing and timing, and traffic modelingCreate engineering plans for traffic signals, pavement markings, traffic control, and construction staging plansUtilize engineering software programs including Synchro Studio, HCS (Highway Capacity Software), and AutoTurnPrepare contract documents, specifications, and construction cost estimatesCollaborate with Project Manager and other design staff on projectsEssential SkillsBachelor Degree in Civil EngineeringPE, or EIT working towards PE3+ years of experience with Traffic Signal Design for civil engineering projectsProficiency with SYNCHRO, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), or MicroStationAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Civil 3D, AutoTurn, TransModeler SidraLicensed PEWork Environment

Office located in Dewitt, outside of Lansing. Opportunity for a hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Potential for a fully remote schedule in the future. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, around 40 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08
