Traffic Engineer Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our team to support our strong backlog of work and continued revenue growth in the Mid-Atlantic market. The individual shall demonstrate an ability to collaboratively work with a team or independently on a wide range of small- or large-scale multi-discipline projects for state, county, or local jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive traffic simulation plans to support transportation and infrastructure projectsAssist with or coordinate traffic and transportation studies on highways, freeways, and other thoroughfaresPerform traffic flow analysis and related calculationsProvide technical guidance, oversight, and solutions for transportation projectsAnalyze existing and future traffic conditions to develop and implement solutions to improve traffic flow and safetyAssist in the development of traffic signal timing plansConduct research and review of traffic simulation tools such as VISSIM, AutoCAD and RevitCollaborate with other engineers, planners, and stakeholders to ensure projects are carried out effectively

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferredAdvanced knowledge of traffic simulation tools such as VISSIM, AutoCAD, and RevitKnowledge in the guidelines of the DOTExcellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities
