Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently searching for a Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Support for our Fort Lauderdale, FL office to work in a flexible role that includes temporary traffic control, program planning, performance data analysis, oversight of incident management programs, meeting coordination, preparation of technical correspondence and reports, contacts with and/or appearances before local officials, civic and community groups, public agencies, etc. 

 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Supporting and coordinating all current and potential TIM programs. Overseeing, coordinating, and assisting in developing procedures for implementing, administering, and evaluating TIM plans or programs.  Providing management oversight of FHP contracts within assigned District.  Serving as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies in matters concerning the coordination of TIM related plans and services.  Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and preparing performance reports of TIM related data, programs, and information systems.  Reviewing and preparing correspondence, reports, studies, giving briefings and making presentations regarding program activities.  Presenting on incident management to state and local officials and various groups and organizations.  Researching on new incident management techniques, equipment, and technologies.  Conducting annual Federal Highway Administration TIM Self-Assessment for each county-level TIM Team.  Providing management oversight of assigned Road Ranger Contracts.  Ensuring that all communications and coordination efforts between the operations staff and the Road Ranger Service Patrols (RRSP) are in accordance with the assigned District Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).  Making sure that all contract requirements are being met by Road Ranger Contractors.   Coordinating Road Ranger Service Patrol operations as documented in the latest version of the District  Reviewing and providing recommendations of the Road Ranger Contractors’ invoices.  Projecting contract expenditures based on existing and future Road Ranger program’s operational needs.  Preparing the Road Ranger Contractors’ performance evaluation on a monthly basis (official delivery).  Conduct the bi-weekly Road Ranger Contractor(s) meeting.  Conduct monthly inspections on all RRSP Operators and vehicles.  Providing management oversight of the SIRV contract.  Ensuring that all communications and coordination efforts between the operations staff and the Incident Response Vehicle (SIRV/IRV) services are in accordance with the District’s SOP   Conducting monthly inspections on all SIRV/IRV units.  Review and provide recommendations of the RISC Vendors’ invoice reports.  Conducting annual inspections on all Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) units.  RRSP, SIRV, and RISC Operator qualifications review.   Maintaining all required RISC documentation current, including but not limited to RISC section within the District’s SOP and RISC Binders.  Archiving/filing all RISC Contracts documentation.  Coordinating and conducting After Action Review (AAR) meetings on level 3 incidents, RISC incidents and any other incident as requested by the District’s Incident Management Program Manager  Projecting contract expenditures based on existing and future RISC operational needs.  Supervising and coordinating tasks with the Traffic Incident Management Program Coordinator.

 

What your experience looks like

1-5 years of experience with traffic incident management. Bilingual Spanish and English Works well under pressure  Researching capabilities   Presentation development   Exceptional technical skills Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
