Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity 
Join the Downer Transport & Infrastructure business as a Traffic Management Operations Manager! Drive performance and manage our Traffic Services operation to ensure we deliver for our customers and sustain profitable growth. 

You will implement & sustain reliable leadership, stakeholder management, and a zero harm environment. Manage the traffic operation and ensure work is completed to the satisfaction of our customers - this includes various Downer departments and external clients. 

This position brings all Traffic Services aspects together under one banner to ensure we deliver for our customers and sustain profitable growth. This is a chance to make your mark and challenge the ‘status quo’. You will drive change in thought processes, influence key decisions and regularly seek opportunities to grow and improve our operation. 

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position based from our Rifle Range Road office in New Plymouth.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
This role requires someone with strong management experience, preferably in a Traffic Management environment, across multi-functional teams. You will draw down on your ability to engage and collaborate to ensure division-wide regional success. As an experienced leader, with a solid understanding of TM principles and practices, you’ll bring with you the following:

A proven track record in developing a culture that supports Zero Harm, encouraging and rewarding excellence The ability to deal with unexpected events and make difficult decisions whilst providing direction to teams An organised and systematic approach to the working environment with strong planning and analysis skills. Experience working for both private and public sector clients Be able to apply risk and assurance strategies to ensure that the business is sustainable and commercially robust A comprehensive understanding of the CoPTTM / NZGTTM, and how this relates to our clients work activities.
