About the Position: Serves as the Team Lead for the Material Movement/In-Transit Warehouse Section with responsibility for directing, coordinating, analyzing, controlling and evaluating cargo services for the installation. Responsibilities Instruct employees in specific shipment and receiving tasks and makes available written work instructions, reference materials and supplies. Plan and coordinate work of the Material Movements Section and In-transit Warehouse distributing and balancing the workload among employees to ensure timely shipment of freight of all kinds. Determine the most efficient and economical rates and routings on a large number or various commodities for shipment to destinations both within the United States and to some worldwide overseas locations. Determine proper freight classification for a large variety of commodities by using available classification guides or by analogy for materials without established classification. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
