TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-12 level some of your typical work assignments may include: Conducts special studies and program initiatives for transportation activities that resolve complex personal property problems and improve the efficiency of personal property operations, often in response to Congressional constituent inquiries, Freedom of Information Act requests, command Inspector General and other internal and external inquiries. Prepares transportation analyses, background information for senior leader use and review, briefings, position papers, and policy change documents. Contributes to planning of and participation in conferences, workshops, and similar meetings to provide technical insight and facilitate discussions on personal property operations. Constructs data requirements to determine administrative needs for personal property systems, customer facing web pages, and personal property training. Evaluates personal property guidance and policies for operational impacts on the DP3, providing subject matter expertise for broad functional problems that may be complicated by multiple military branches of service activities, policies, or controls. Communicates orally and in writing with all levels of personnel from the Branch Chief and various project or program managers, to directorate and command leadership and Military Branch of Service Headquarters representatives Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Conducting special studies and evaluating program initiatives for transportation activities that improve efficiency of personal property operations. Researching improvements to existing personal property transportation and storage systems through requirements analyses. Constructing data requirements to determine administrative needs for personal property information systems, customer-facing web pages, and personal property training. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
