Traffic Management Systems Analyst Print (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/gwinnett/jobs/newprint/4829961) Apply  Traffic Management Systems Analyst Salary $48,337.00 - $77,339.00 Annually Location Gwinnett County, GA Job Type Full-Time Merit Job Number 25-02983 Department Department of Transportation Opening Date 02/12/2025 Closing Date 4/13/2025 11:59 PM Eastern FLSA Non-Exempt + Description + Benefits + Questions Class Summary Job Description In addition to monitoring the signalized intersections, this section is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 470 flashing beacons, 300+ miles of fiber optic communications cable, 960+ network switches, 500+ closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, and the Gwinnett County Traffic Control Center (TCC). This position will assist with maintenance of GIS mapping. Essential Duties + Opening the TCC in the morning and/or close it in the evening depending on assigned shift including weekends as necessary + Monitoring the flow of traffic on roads in the County via CCTV cameras + Monitoring construction activities, incidents, special events, and weather conditions that may impact traffic flow + Monitoring the current status and operation of public-facing devices: traffic signals, school beacons, and Connected Vehicle roadside units + Monitoring supporting devices that are part of the ATMS infrastructure: cameras, network switches, battery backup systems, conflict monitors, etc.); + Investigating reported traffic signal malfunctions and traffic issues + Making minor adjustments to traffic signals and school beacons using the associated software + Reporting issues to supervisor, emergency personnel, engineers and/or technicians via phone, email, and/or current “paging” software + Working with traffic signal engineers and field crews as needed on reviewing traffic signal operations + Running regular reports Public Speaking Duties + Ability to communicate effectively and engage with staff, citizens, leadership, and elected officials as needed. Other Job Requirements/Information + This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. + This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
