Ebenezer is seeking a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) for our newest Skilled Nursing Community (TCU/LTC) in St. Paul, Minnesota! This role is responsible for providing resident care and services including administration of medication under the direction of the nurse.
Nursing schedule includes;

Ebenezer Integrated Care & Rehab (EICR) serves seniors with long-term, transitional, and dementia senior care needs in the heart of downtown St. Paul. As part of Fairview's Community Health and Wellness Hub, EICR is committed to delivering innovative, collaborative care. The Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub opened in 2022 to deliver a variety of services to the community—from primary and mental health care to enrichment options for seniors, food access programs, and community gathering spaces. The Hub brings Fairview services together with local organizations—including Minnesota Community Care and Sanneh Foundation—to make it easier for people to access what they need to be well.
Responsibilities/Job Description Assists residents with personal cares (ADL's) based on individual plan of care and kardex:Provides AM/PM caresProvides full bath/showerProvides oral hygieneProvides nail care; shaving as appropriateChecks hearing aides; cleans eye glassesAssures that residents are clean, dry, dressed and groomed appropriatelyReposition residentsPerforms Restorative Nursing Programs (i.e. ROM, ambulation) as applicableProvides adequate nutrition & hydrationAssures individual toileting plan in followedAnswers call lights promptlyObserves residents and reports status to appropriate staffReceives report at the start of the shiftGives report to the team leader at the end of the shift & PRNNotifies appropriate staff of any chnages in timely & appropriate mannerOffers pertinent observations & input for documentation and care plan updatesUses kardexTakes and documents and reports weightsDocuments completed cares in POCReponds to emergency situations appropriatelyHandles resident and family complaints tactfully and refers concerns to appropriate staff membersDemonstrates competency with oxygen trans-filling of portable liquid tanksPerforms environmental and other responsiblities as assignedMaintains order & cleanliness in resident roomsMaintains order & cleanliness in other work areasReports malfunctioning equipment to Maintenance DepartmentAssists with admissions, transfers & discharges as neededAnswers phones with proper customer service etiquettePerforms oher duties as assigned and directedAdministers medications and treatments as delegated and supervised by a licensed nurse:Follows all shift routines regarding measuring of vital signs, weights, and administration of medications and treatmentsDispenses meds using the right route, medication, resident time, and doseUtilizes pharmacy, drug regerences, and licensed nurse for medication adiministration questionsMaintains an awareness of actual and potntial side effects, adverse reactions, contraindications and purposes of medicationsAlerts nurse prior to administration of a PRN medicationDocuments reponse to the PRN medication administeredMaintains a clean medication cartPerforms other duties as requested QualificationsRequired:
