**Overview**
Ebenezer is seeking a **Trained Medication Aide (TMA)** for our newest Skilled Nursing Community (TCU/LTC) in St. Paul, Minnesota! This role is responsible for providing resident care and services including administration of medication under the direction of the nurse.
Nursing schedule includes;
+ 48 hours in two weeks
+ Day shift
+ Every other weekend and holiday rotation

**_Ebenezer Integrated Care & Rehab (EICR)_** _serves seniors with long-term, transitional, and dementia senior care needs in the heart of downtown St. Paul. As part of Fairview's Community Health and Wellness Hub, EICR is committed to delivering innovative, collaborative care. The Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub opened in 2022 to deliver a variety of services to the community—from primary and mental health care to enrichment options for seniors, food access programs, and community gathering spaces. The Hub brings Fairview services together with local organizations—including Minnesota Community Care and Sanneh Foundation—to make it easier for people to access what they need to be well._
**Responsibilities/Job Description**
+ Assists residents with personal cares (ADL's) based on individual plan of care and kardex:
+ Provides AM/PM cares
+ Provides full bath/shower
+ Provides oral hygiene
+ Provides nail care; shaving as appropriate
+ Checks hearing aides; cleans eye glasses
+ Assures that residents are clean, dry, dressed and groomed appropriately
+ Reposition residents
+ Performs Restorative Nursing Programs (i.e. ROM, ambulation) as applicable
+ Provides adequate nutrition & hydration
+ Assures individual toileting plan in followed
+ Answers call lights promptly
+ Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
+ Receives report at the start of the shift
+ Gives report to the team leader at the end of the shift & PRN
+ Notifies appropriate staff of any chnages in timely & appropriate manner
+ Offers pertinent observations & input for documentation and care plan updates
+ Uses kardex
+ Takes and documents and reports weights
+ Documents completed cares in POC
+ Reponds to emergency situations appropriately
+ Handles resident and family complaints tactfully and refers concerns to appropriate staff members
+ Demonstrates competency with oxygen trans-filling of portable liquid tanks
+ Performs environmental and other responsiblities as assigned
+ Maintains order & cleanliness in resident rooms
+ Maintains order & cleanliness in other work areas
+ Reports malfunctioning equipment to Maintenance Department
+ Assists with admissions, transfers & discharges as needed
+ Answers phones with proper customer service etiquette
+ Performs oher duties as assigned and directed
+ Administers medications and treatments as delegated and supervised by a licensed nurse:
+ Follows all shift routines regarding measuring of vital signs, weights, and administration of medications and treatments
+ Dispenses meds using the right route, medication, resident time, and dose
+ Utilizes pharmacy, drug regerences, and licensed nurse for medication adiministration questions
+ Maintains an awareness of actual and potntial side effects, adverse reactions, contraindications and purposes of medications
+ Alerts nurse prior to administration of a PRN medication
+ Documents reponse to the PRN medication administered
+ Maintains a clean medication cart
+ Performs other duties as requested
**Qualifications**
Required:
+ Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry
+ TMA certification
Preferred:
+ Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
+ 0-1 year of experience
