We are now looking for a Trainee Factory Planner to be based in Harrismith Factory. In this role you will be responsible to provide consistently Materials Requirement Plan, complying with Raw & Pack Inventory Policies. **A day in the life of a Trainee Factory Planner:** **Define, implement and procedurize control systems** + Create feasible production and filling plans for shop floor taking into account strategic stock policies and critical resource availability. + Maintain master planning data on the system (capacities, resources, master recipes, materials and production process models). + Create and maintain MPS, DPS, and MRP on the factory planning system (BPCS/SAP). + Generate DPS (or daily) plan based on planning cycle. + Determine factory shutdown periods by liaison with department heads. + Review strategic production plan received from Head Office. + Ensure that the correct product standards (CST) are used in the daily planning. + Support management decision-making by providing alternative manufacturing supply scenarios and adjusting plans in case of unexpected changes. + Create and maintain process orders aligned with DPS plan. + Gain consensus for the sequencing of production horizons. + Pro-activeness in identifying future problems relating to planning, inventory, and taking active steps in preventing them (continuous improvement). + Assist with the establishment of manufacturing strategy. **What will make you successful?** + Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Procurement + 2-3 years of experience + MRP (Material Requirement Planning) + Logistic Coordinator + Warehousing + Production / Production Planning + Demand & Supply Planning
