Job Title: Trainee Field Service Engineer
Location: UK Wide, (you must be based in and around the M62 corridor or in and around Birmingham)
Role Type: Permanent, full-time, remote, (field based), position, 37.5 hours per week
Job Summary:
As a Trainee Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for committing to learn and develop yourself towards becoming a full Field Service engineer by following our structured learning path. You will work as part of an experienced, friendly team who will fully support you in this.
This is a remote based role, with the majority of our clients based in and around the M62 corridor, as such, you will be provided with a car as you will be visiting client sites regularly.
This role is part of our Early Careers program, designed to help students and recent graduates, (from university or vocational qualifications), launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

Key responsibilities:
You will work closely with seasoned professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to learn how to do the following:
· Support the LSS (Lifecycle Service & Support) business and drive the Services business growth and profitability with customer satisfaction and safety record.
· Meet the Corporate, customer and legal obligations of Health, Safety and Environment (training, use of PPEs and safety observations)
· System upgrades, modifications, diagnosis and maintenance, (Installation, configuration, implementation & commissioning), of Honeywell’s product range including Industrial Control & safety systems, 3rd party DCS or QCS Systems or SCADA, (supervisory control and data acquisition), products to meet customer specifications.
· Frequent field-based travel, including some overnight stays if required,
· Identify and develop opportunities for business growth, cooperating actively with the sales team to support them by having an active and influential role with the customer to develop the solution.
Key skills and qualifications:
· Either a 2024/5 degree OR an 2024/5 HND/HNC graduate from an area of Technology: Electronics, Automation, Control/Instrumentation, Cyber Networking, or engineering
· Based in and around the M62 corridor or in and around Birmingham
· Full UK Driving License
· As our client sites have varying work patterns, you are required to be flexible around start and finish times day to day, and, where applicable, you may need to stay in hotels overnight (paid for by Honeywell)
