What will I be doing?
\n\nAs Kitchen Trainee, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\n\n\tCook, prepare and bake food for guests and team members efficiently, economically, and hygienically as per standard recipes and procedures. \n\tSupport the Sous Chef or the Chef de Partie in ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen and prompt service at all times. \n\tWork seamlessly with recipes, standards and plating guides. \n\tMaintenance all HACCP aspects within the hotel operation. \n\tUse all equipment, tools and machines appropriately. \n\tWork at off-site events when tasked. \n\tComplete tasks and jobs outside of the kitchen area when requested. \n\tAssist in inventory taking. \n\tKnowledgeable of hotel’s occupancy, events, forecasts and achievements. \n\tRespond effectively to guests’ requests. \n\tLearn and adapt to changes. \n\tMaintain at all times a professional and positive attitude towards team members and supervisors. \n\tAdhere to established hotel rules and team member handbook for the department to operate smoothly. \n\tAttend and actively participate in all training sessions. \n\tUnderstand, practice and promote teamwork to achieve missions, goals, and overall departmental standards. \n\tThe Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description at its sole discretion and without advance notice. \n\tCarry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. \nWhat are we looking for?
\n\nA Kitchen Trainee serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
\n\n\n\tJunior Middle School graduate and above or technical education in hospitality or culinary school. \n\tPossess a valid health certificate. \n\tAble to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner. \n\tWork well in stressful situations, remain calm under pressure and able to solve problems. \n\tAble to work in a moist, hot and sometimes loud environment. \n\tKnowledge in HACCP preferred. \n\n\n\n\n
