All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level.
This role is based onsite in Crewe and you will be working on a shift pattern (detailed below):
2 days of 7am - 7pm
2 nights of 7pm - 7am
Followed by 4 days off.
You will undertake all aspects of support and administration of multiple storages and backup infrastructures, delivering business critical services to a wide range of clients.
You will also cover a number of Data Centre activities including:
• Device install/decommission
• Asset Management
• Capacity Planning
• Environmental monitoring, DC Tooling and Auditing, Daily Visual Checks
• Housekeeping activities, procurement, admin
• Access Approval
• Supervision and management of third parties
• Change/Incident management
• Point of contact for P1/P2 Incidents.
• Quick Learner and Self Motivated
• Excellent Communication
• Team Player
• Ability to manage changing priorities and busy workload
• Ability to work around problems in a logical manner
• A proven track record of working in an IT support environment, troubleshooting technical problems and working to Service Level Agreements.
Desirable Skills
• SAN & Backup - Basic working knowledge of major components and concepts.
• Competent in use of Microsoft Office Products
• IT Hardware background or experience
• Experience in call management
