About the Role
We are currently seeking Trainer Assessors to join the WA Asset Projects Team. This is an exciting opportunity for safety focused Trainer Assessors, who demonstrate a proactive approach to mentoring employees.
In this role you will be required to
• Drives business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance.
• Designs and delivers training plans, trains and assesses operators and improves training programs to maintain safety, compliance and performance during mining operations.
• Supports the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximise operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk.
• Translates corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy.
• Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
• Designs and implements governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP.
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, collaboration and communication skills. In addition to demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyse information, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
As the successful candidate, ideally you will hold one of the following minimum level nationally recognized skill set or certification in assessing.
• Enterprise Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00015)
• Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40110, TAE40116 or TAE40122)
• Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Prior exposure in open cut mining (desirable, but not essential)
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
• Minimum C Class Driver’s license unrestricted is essential
The role is based at Mining Area C on 8 days on, 6 days off roster, Day shift only
