Trainer- Electric Power Distribution
Trainer- Electric Power Distribution WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Trainer- Electric Power Distribution in our Green Bay Training Center location. Job Summary The Work Methods and Development Consultant is responsible for the design and delivery of training programs within the Electric Operations area. This includes various Electric Distribution Occupations that require apprenticeship program administration. Develops and updates training documentation as needed to ensure compliance with regulations, meet safety and operational needs and meets or exceeds industry standards. Utilizes knowledge of adult learning theory to develop and deliver technical and non-technical training using multiple medium. This position is part of a job family (Work Methods and Development Consultant, Senior Work Methods and Development Consultant, Principal Work Methods and Development Consultant) and experience will be the determining factor. Job Responsibilities + Develop Technical Training + Owner of Operations training and progression programs. + Determines Manager training schedule and use of resources to meet operational needs. + Responsible for Electric Operations work methods/procedures development, editing and publication to align with regulations, safety and operational needs and industry standards and procedures. + Lead Work Methods maintenance and initiatives + Lead meetings to coordinate training, reference and work practices content. + Conducts job site evaluations and establish field presence. + Assists leadership and Safety Department as an expert technical resource. + Lead root cause analysis investigations. + Recognized as an expert resource in support of electric operations. + Assist with storm restoration efforts (where applicable) company-wide and perform on-call operations duties including Duty Supervisor to manage 10 or more field operations employees. Minimum Experience Required + Work Methods Level Requires: 2-3 years Operations or relevant experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in teaching/training + Senior Level Requires: 5 Years Operations experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching/training + Principal Level Requires: 7 Years Operations experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in teaching/training + Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) + Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints + Experience working with project management methodology beneficial + Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint) + Dedicates required time and energy to overcome obstacles to completing tasks and assignments. + Seeks and uses feedback and other sources of information to identify appropriate areas for learning + Understanding of basic adult learning concepts and practices beneficial Preferred Qualifications + Field experience in Electric Operations End Date: 12/06/2024 We reserve the right to modify the application deadline or discontinue accepting applications for any position if deemed necessary.
