Transdev is Baltimore, Maryland is hiring a Safety Trainer to facilitate classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

$26.52 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)Starting pay $26.52 with progression to $27.32 over 1 year.Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new driversMaintain required training documentation and completion for compliance with state certification, company policies and district, state & federal requirementsAdditional safety program responsibilities such as, accident investigation, forms compliance, and safety meetingsOther duties as requiredQualifications:
Valid driver's license is required for a minimum of 2 yearsMinimum 2 years experience driving Mobility Vehicles1 to 3 years transportation & safety experienceKnowledge of federal and state safety rules and regulationsMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as neededSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis , for any reason.Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.Sit/Stand for extended period (up to 8 - 12 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfacesPush and pull objects up to 50 - 100 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally blend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground levelWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
