The OPI Trainer will facilitate the delivery of training classes and programs for over-the-phone interpreters (OPI) and customer service agents. They will participate in the design and development of training content and corresponding course materials. The trainer will partner with stakeholders to develop lesson plans and utilize innovative instructional methods.

Position responsibilities:

Deliver instructor led training (ILT) in-person and virtuallyDevelop training schedules and corresponding lesson plansPartner with stakeholders to create and administer learning assessments and evaluationsUtilize innovative instructional methods to meet learning objectivesCreate an engaging, supportive, and effective learning environmentCoach, deliver feedback and monitor trainee progress toward performance standardsStay current with training best practices and new learning methodologiesAnalyze training needs and recommend corresponding learning solutionsBuild knowledge of the over-the-phone interpretation professionPerform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceThe ability to train and work with individuals who speak English as a second languageProficiency in Spanish and EnglishStrong facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer literacy skills; proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Power Point, ExcelStrong organizational skills and the ability to be self-directedPrevious team lead or supervisory experience a plus
