Summary About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Military Police School (USAMPS), Directorate of Training & Education, Military Police Investigations Division at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact on matters pertaining to Behavioral Sciences Education and Training Division (BSETD) training courses, Programs of Instruction (POI) training requirements, resources, changes to training, and quota adjustments. Analyze course training requirements to ensure compliance with course administrative data and programs of instruction. Prepare and present written and verbal information for decision briefings, in collaboration with the branch chief’s for Chief, BSETD approval. Review BSETD training loads, resource/facility constraints, and schedules and takes appropriate action to ensure that Chief, BSETD can make informed decisions and goals are accomplished. Analyze proposed student loads, and available resources and coordinates course constraints with USAMPS Army Training Requirements and Resources System manager. Maintain a pivotal role in designing exemplary course systems for record keeping (trends) and course sustainment from curriculum to administration. Maintain course schedules and maintain division training and travel calendars. Serve as BSETD Organizational Defense Travel Administrator. Responsible for the administrations of Defense Travel System at the organizational level. Ensure new instructors attend and meet all instructor qualifications and process new instructor packets for approval. Research and identify viable continuing training and education courses, certification, seminars, and workshops for BSETD personnel for continued professional growth and development. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: analyzing training data, and maintaining training data in the Army Training Resource and Requirements System (ATRRS) or similar training program; creating training certificates; and providing quality control for a training program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Behavior Sciences or Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
