SUMMARY
The Training Instructor position is an hourly position that supports the Owens Corning Training Program and reports to the Operations Leader (or his delegate). The Instructor is the subject matter expert in their primary area and is responsible for facilitating classroom and on-the-job training for OC personnel including new-hires, newly assigned positions, other trainers, and refresher training. The Instructor is also responsible for maintaining training records and developing training materials.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports Springfield Training initiatives Responsible for the entire training experience and process of trainees in their area from start to qualification Track, record, and report out on trainee progress and needs Conducts classroom, practical hands on, and web based training Develops and executes daily and long-range training plans for trainees Develops and executes logistical plans to support employee training plan Facilitates communication between multiple levels of the organization to remove roadblocks and ensure successful completion of training plans Performs training needs assessments on both trainees and previously qualified employees Gives feedback to trainees and his/her leader Assists in the development of training plans for new equipment or processes Develops action plan to address items on which a trainee failed to achieve qualification Ensure Training Materials (standard work, power point presentations, etc.) are up to date Applies basic computer skills and utilizes various computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, etc.) Develops training material to meet dynamic operational needs Train-the-Trainer qualified in job specific areas as necessary to (forklift trainer,etc.) Promotes the well-being of an injury-free life for all employees Complies with all plant rules, safety & Qualityregulations, and maintains a clean and orderly work area Complies with attendance policies Performs all other duties related to this position as assigned or needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment Must provide proof of valid authorization to work in the U.S. Must be 18 years or older Must be drug and alcohol free
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
