Training and Development Manager (Clinical)

What You Will Do 

You will play a key role in development and facilitation of resources within the workforce development and training department resulting in best-in-class training that positively impacts clinical outcomes and patient/family experience.

 

Partner with clinical team in development of focused and effective training utilizing a variety of media

Lead the design, development and implementation of innovative and high impact learning and development solutions in support of strategic goals and objectives Actively research and creatively design clinical development and training programs to educate and enhance performance  Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer in the oversight, development, implementation, and evaluation of organizational preparation and readiness for all regulatory requirements and patient experience efforts Monitor the internal/external environment and identify opportunities to fulfill the corporate strategy. Develop, monitor, update and communicate on-going strategic plan and goals for People Development. Work with leaders to continually provide feedback on training and proficiency programs Provide learning strategy consultation and expertise to business partners and business leaders to address segment or functional learning & development needs

Coordinates best in class training experiences

Direct both internal and external resources to support the build and delivery of compelling learning programs and initiatives, ensuring adaptability and scalability Serve as strategic liaison for key organizational training initiatives between business units and their customers, both internal and external. Collaborate with subject matter experts (internal or external) in delivering appropriate, timely and quality clinical educational opportunities related to orientation and ongoing education Work with leaders and staff to assess needs and develop appropriate solutions to close gaps and enhance performance (coaching, training, OJT assignments, development plans, etc.) Develop and maintain organizational communications Participate in oversight of the coordination and functionality of the learning management system. Engage as a role model and professional level facilitator of training models Modify programs as needed.

 

Conducts needs assessments and delivers on requirements with a focus on continuous improvement

Participate in instituting Needs Assessments as needed for various employee groups in a timely, thorough and efficient manner. Define and measure key metrics and leverage qualitative feedback to optimize programs and report out on the impact and efficacy of initiatives Propose training and development programs and objectives. Participation in evaluation of the impact of educational programs Evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement as needed. Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget.

Provides leadership to a service-oriented team

Coach, counsel and support performance of team  Set priorities for planning activities for assigned team Document performance and provide feedback based on objectives Complete employee evaluation and development planning Foster and enable an ongoing learning and development culture

Must be able to travel

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years’ experience supervising or managing people/resources 3+ years in a hands-on clinical role preferred Learning Management System experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PPT required. Comfortable with use of Media Equipment.

EDUCATION

Associate’s degree in Organization Development, Training, Human Resources, Business and/or a related area of study required Bachelor’s degree preferred Nursing Licensure preferred
