Job Title: Training and Events Advisor
Job Overview:
The Qualifications Processing directorate consists of several areas which work together to deliver General and Vocational Qualification operations throughout the year. This operation supports the delivery of accurate results to every candidate in each examination session. Training from Pearson is a customer focused team responsible for the delivery of over 10,000 training events for Teachers and Assessment Associates per year.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage the scheduling, resourcing and organisation of a suite of meetings & events whilst ensuring that training events are delivered on time and on budget To liaise with suppliers and venue booking agencies ensuring we are achieving the best location and rates for training events To ensure that events are managed/supported by staff that are trained & competent To support innovation and change to improve the processes and add quality to the outcomes To ensure MI is maintained and updated regularly to ensure visibility throughout the life cycle of events To make best use of support staff and Pearson Associates resources to support the online standardisation events To ensure that training attendance targets are met in accordance to forecasted demands by proactively contacting delegates to confirm attendance To answer customer queries within SLAs, via email, chat and CRM Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure that operational protocols are adhered to To maintain and monitor the adherence of the payment schedule for Associates Ensuring all processes are followed to maximise efficiency of timelines and accuracy with the team Take ownership of a qualification and its processes, including monitoring SLAs, attendance of regularly operations meetings and training and supporting the teamKey Challenges:
It will be necessary for the post holder to quickly assimilate information on several distinct qualification suites, and to understand the differences in the management and delivery of these.
Due to the nature of the examination process, the volume of work varies through the year. A key challenge of this is working on multiple projects at a time.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential:
5 GCSEs (Or Equivalent) A*-C to include English and Mathematics
Desirable:
Intermediate skills in MS Excel (or equivalent spreadsheet)
Previous Experience:
Essential:
• Organising own workload to manage multiple high priority tasks
• At least 3 years’ experience in an administrative/operational environment
• Working to tight deadlines
• Ability to make fact based, time pressured decisions
• Experience of working in a highly charged customer facing environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Desirable:
• Working in the education sector
Hours and location: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, based in our Hellaby office.
