We currently have an opportunity for a Training Area Range Manager to join our team. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this position is responsible for delivering services to the satisfaction of the Department of Defence specifically the Directorate of Operations and Training Area Management, and is a member of the National Technical Team working alongside the other technical services departments.
Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this position will oversee, manage and support the delivery of the Training Areas & Range Management (TARM) service called for in the Estate Maintenance and Operations Services (EMOS) contract.
What you’ll bring
Australian Citizenship Required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security ClearancePreferred qualifications - Diploma of Management or other relevant tertiary qualification, and Diploma of Public Safety – Firefighting.A Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor.OH&S Workplace Hazard Assessor Certification and an Advanced First Aid CertificationHold an MR and/or HR truck licences.A high level of business acumen and financial management skills.Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite of applications and business enterprise systems e.g. WMS, SAP etc.

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
Oversee the delivery of the TARM service in alignment with the D&D and its PMF outcomes. Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics.Ensure the provision of adequately trained personnel for the effective delivery of the TARM service.Conduct Training Needs Analysis and implement a comprehensive training and staff development program to enhance team capability and resilience.Develop and maintain a detailed set of procedures to guarantee the safe, compliant, effective, and efficient delivery of the TARM service.Oversee and maintain a register of TARM-related plant and equipment. Manage and audit GFF/GFE associated with the service line and control the procurement of consumables, spare parts, and replacement equipment.
