Position: Training Coordinator
Company: Tier 1 EPCM in Mining
Location: Perth, WA
Employment Type: Contractor
Contract length: Initially 12 Months - Subjected to extensions
Role Overview
As a key member of the team, you will: Design and deliver site-specific training programs, including statutory training for supervisors, critical risk management, health & safety, and project inductions. Support external training programs such as supervisor leadership, cultural heritage awareness, mental health, and environmental training. Work with the client and the end client’s team to create training packages that comply with regulatory, company, and client standards. Apply industry best practices while ensuring the development and delivery of engaging and effective training courses. Ensure training is in line with the company’s processes, legislation, and best practices by collaborating with contractors and teams. Use software to develop programs, review competencies, and monitor progress. Establish a system for assessing and ensuring training and competency standards. Identify and address gaps in training through TNA. Review training and safety data, and report trends and compliance to site leadership. Ensure contractor training is aligned with project requirements throughout its lifecycle. Champion CRM implementation and other safety programs, providing coaching and leadership. Skills & Qualifications Trainer and Assessor Qualification: TAE40116 (or equivalent), with a Construction Induction Training (White Card). Mining Industry Experience: Extensive experience in construction projects and operations, particularly in mining. Mobile Plant Operation: Experience operating mobile plant and equipment, with the ability to verify high-risk licenses. Training System Management: Experience managing training systems and developing training matrices. Training Development: Ability to use Training Needs Analysis to identify gaps and develop programs to meet minimum requirements. WHS Knowledge: Strong understanding of WHS Schedule 26 statutory appointment and competency legislation. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication. Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead in the field and influence contractor behavior. Presentation Skills: High confidence in creating and delivering presentations. About Airswift
