Job Summary

The Training Coordinator is an on-site position responsible for the coordination, administration, and execution of training programs, ensuring continued compliance with applicable FAA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory related agencies. The Training Coordinator will utilize exceptional communication and project management skills in all stages of the training program. This role will lead with a commitment to collaboration and furthering the training of our teammates.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

Training Program Coordination:

Maintain relevant and effective training products within company’s Learning Management System.Plan, schedule, and provide logistical support for training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to develop and update training materials specific to resource and/or training needs.Oversee all logistical aspects of training delivery, including venue arrangements, technology setup, and communication with internal stakeholders and external trainers.Maintain a modern and creative new-hire orientation program for effective, successful introduction into company culture and mission to ‘Save today and preserve tomorrow’.

Support for Training Delivery:

Develop, create, facilitate, and deliver training programs, ensuring the content is presented effectively and meets established learning goals.Exhibit and exercise best practices for adult learning and course delivery.

Needs Analysis and Program Evaluation:

Collaborate with department heads and senior management to identify skill gaps and training needs within the organization.Collect feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements based on evaluation results.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training activities, participant attendance, and progress.Generate and present regular reports on training outcomes, including metrics such as completion rates, feedback summaries, and overall program effectiveness.

Vendor Management:

Coordinate with external training vendors, consultants, and facilitators, ensuring the quality and relevance of external programs.

Budget and Resource Management:

Manage training budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting program objectives, as well as measure and evaluate training ‘Return on Investment’ (ROI).Oversee the procurement and management of training materials, tools, and technology as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in training and development, incorporating new methodologies and technologies into training initiatives as appropriate.Recommend enhancements to existing programs based on industry developments & internal feedback.Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Requirements

Regular attendance and consistent on-site, campus-wide, presence during duty hours is expected.Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling – 5%

Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.  All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports requiring supervision.

Education & Experience

High school degree and 3 years related experience and/or training content development in an aviation environment; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAssociate degree in a related technical field, or demonstrated relevant and equivalent industry experience preferred

Must have excellent organization skills and be able to work multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to prioritize and multi-taskStrong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levelsExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalA strong aptitude for project managementExperience with content development/creationBilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Computer Skills

Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Access, and Share PointExperience with Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate 360 (or similar training development programs) preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certification such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) preferredOSHA 10- and 30-hour certifications are preferred but not required. Applicants who do not have the certifications are expected to obtain them within 6 months of hire and/or OSHA 510 and 511 within 12 months of hire.
