Location: Voorhees - Carnie Blvd Employment Type: Employee Employment Classification: Regular Time Type: Full time Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours: 40 Additional Locations: Job Information: Job Summary: Develop and provide educational and instructional information as well as organizing and managing their specific area of responsibility within the MICU Education department. Works collaboratively to plan and implement clinical learning experiences. Position Responsibilities: Promote and review skill competencies through education and training. Ensures compliance standards and quality improvement is maintained through the training/educational process. Evaluate staff, students, and learning environment. Document changes necessary to improve staff and current curriculum. Works closely with others to provide internal and external quality learning environments for staff and students. Develops learning objectives and creates learning strategies to optimize the effectiveness of the learning environment for education initiatives. Develops and designs tools to facilitate learning through hands on training. Provide site-specific materials, policies, and student responsibilities and performance expectations. Assists in research, development, implementation and teaching of new procedures and educational programs. Plan, implement and follow through on projects and programs as applied to training and education. Participates in Quality Assurance review process as required by the department. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Must have at least two (2) years of experience in critical care or EMS related fields. Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved paramedic training program or current EMT Instructor certification in the State of NJ. Training / Certification / Licensure: Current New Jersey paramedic certification. Current certification in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and CPR -OR- Current New Jersey EMT Instructor certification with at least three (3) consecutive years of experience as an active EMT-Instructor and qualified to serve as EMT Program Coordinator as defined in N.J.A.C. 8:40A-4.2(b). Valid driver's license may be required.
