Pacific Seafood offers a unique, 12-week internship program that gives interns the chance to make an immediate impact on our company. Starting with a structured orientation week at our corporate headquarters near Portland, Oregon, you’ll be able to meet the team and learn the full scope of our business. Throughout the summer months, you’ll dive deep into a meaningful project for our company, which you’ll then present to our executive leadership team at the end of your internship. This internship will focus on measuring and improving our Frontline Team Members’ engagement with training resources housed on our learning management system (LMS). We have recently implemented a new platform that was specifically chosen for the benefits it can provide to our Frontline Team. As part of that investment, we want to ensure that the system is being used to its fullest capabilities.
You will be responsible for leading the initiative to create programming around the successful adoption of the new LMS and building excitement among Frontline Team Members for learning opportunities. You will equip Leads and Supervisors with the tools needed to leverage features of the new system, such as automated On-the-Job Trainings, Practical Exams, and Training Validations, that support ongoing training aimed at improving efficiencies and automation in our Processing Facilities. These systems will facilitate the transition from paper to digital record-keeping and improve our ability to audit and track training completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesBe a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Seafood Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) at all timesUtilize existing guidelines and resources to develop training materialLeverage tracking analytics to demonstrate program successResearch and present current trends and best practice associated with organizational behavior and trainingCollaborate with team and management to recommend and implement programProvide support to the Training & Development team on various projectsPrepare project overview and present findings to executive leadershipPerform other duties, as assignedWhat You Bring to Pacific Seafood
RequiredPursuing or have recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degreeDegree or extensive coursework in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, or relevant programWillingness to periodically work in a fish processing facility (cold, wet environment) and travel to our coastal locations on a regular basisPreferredCourse work or experience with Project ManagementExperience or exposure to Adult Learning conceptsKnowledge/experience with eLearning authoring toolsTotal Compensation:
