In this vital role you will responsible for leading the instructional design team in Amgen India and will support Global Learning & Performance (GL&P) Learning Professionals in all Commercial regions including US, Europe, Intercontinental, and JAPAC. The ID Sr. Manager oversees a team of full-time instructional designers who produce deliverables such as content outlines, design documents, style guides/templates, storyboards, infographics, workshop materials, performance support tools, and eLearning modules. They will work closely with our project management team, the ID leads in ACCT, and the eLearning Development Team in AIN. They will attend intake meetings and assign projects to IDs, and partner with the eLearning Development Lead to finalize and produce deliverables. In addition to managing the ID team, the ID Sr. Manager will personally own and complete advanced instructional design projects that impact the most senior levels of Global Commercial Organization (GCO) L&P and produce training deliverables. **Roles & Responsibilities:** Consults with GLS, eLearning Development Lead, and functional learning partners to ensure the most appropriate and effective learning solutions are created to meet business need Runs AIN instructional design and developer team Coaches, mentors, and resources staff Provides input to functional governance teams and supports project intake process Provides end-to-end project oversight for instructional design projects Employs ID best practices in the execution of project deliverables, including design documents, content outlines, workshop materials, performance support tools, and eLearning modules Works - as needed - with vendors, shared service providers, and contract workers to develop training deliverables Supports the identification of media assets Works with learning clients to ensure governance, design, and development processes are followed Maintains functional partnerships with appropriate functional representatives Provides thought leadership on new and innovative approaches to Instructional Design Executes on the annual goals of the group and the department Partners with GL&P colleagues to identify opportunities for collaboration, process improvement, and resource sharing **What we expect of you** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. **Basic Qualifications and Experience:** Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Training & Development experience OR Associate degree and 7 years of Training & Development experience OR Minimum of 8+ years as an Instructional Designer or Training & Development professional supporting a multinational organization **Must-Have Skills :** Experience developing and/or overseeing the development of eLearning, ILT, OJT, performance support, and other learning solutions Experience managing and/or overseeing training projects from beginning to end Experience with eLearning authoring tools and instructional technology (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, etc.) Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models **Preferred Qualifications:** **Good-to-Have Skills:** Experience supporting training projects from beginning to end Consulting and Stakeholder Management Skills Experience developing rapid design solutions Experience conducting training needs analysis to identify appropriate learning solutions Experience creating deliverables for sales or marketing clients **Soft Skills:** Collaborative work style with ability to solicit input, influence, and support decision making Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and coaching skills Strong consulting skills Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams High degree of initiative and self-motivation Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals Project management skills Strong service orientation and high standards of excellence and business enablement Written and verbal English proficiency Should not be more than 3-4 points here **What you can expect of us** As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
