TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (ENVIRONMENTAL)
Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (ENVIRONMENTAL) in the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON. Responsibilities You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the environmental education and training process, using Systems Approach to Training and Education methods and learning practices to instruct courses. You will instruct courses that address Environmental Management System practices, aspects and impacts and their relationship to applicable environmental laws and the mission of the installation. You will coordinate and manage student enrollment for classroom and online courses using using a Learning Management System (LMS), Content Management System (CMS) or MS SharePoint web page. You will demonstrate knowledge of the curriculum development process using the ADDIE model for curriculum design. You will conduct courses, meetings and unit training events to convey environmental compliance information to assigned personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating and providing classroom and online instruction on environmental laws, environmental inspections, Environmental Management System (EMS) practices and hazardous waste handling and emergency response (e.g., Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program [CETEP], Commanding General's Environmental Inspection Program [CGEIP]); 2) Developing classroom and online environmental training curriculum; and 3) Evaluating training programs to provide recommendations for revisions and/or modifications.
