The Opportunity:
As a Training Instructor/Facilitator, you will be responsible for the development of training materials that will be used to deliver hands-on classroom and virtual training for the Information Technology (IT) applications at the Military Sealift Command. These applications consist of Human Resources (HR), budgeting applications, and shipboard applications. Bring your training experience, collaboration skills, initiative, and energy to our team to support our Navy in the Chesapeake/Norfolk area. The position will also travel up to 25% during afloat installations and retraining needs.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team members and Subject Matt er Experts on strategies to develop and refi ne audience-appropriate curriculum, courses, and lessons.Ensure learning objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training materials meet the learning objectives.Prepare high-level course outlines, schedules, and syllabus using standard templatesDeliver instructor-led training in both in-person and virtual environments.Provide hands on instruction and training materials for instructor-led training, interactive multimedia instruction, blended materials, and courseware for delivery fusing current technologies.Collect and document measurements and reports on training delivery and to evaluate effectiveness of training.Adhere to established training material templates, document management guidelines, and delivery methods. Materials include student guides, presentations, business process flows, work instructions, exercises, simulations, quick references, job aids, post-tests, and instructor guides.Bring new ideas to help drive continuous improvement in our training program.Learn and utilize Agile methodology to develop and deliver training to end-users.


Qualifications:

Required: 

Bachelor’s degree (in Training/Development or related field) or equivalent.Experience with IT soft ware training delivery.3-5 years’ experience in curriculum development and delivery of instruction to small and large audiences, with some experience in soft ware training.Proficient in online collaboration and meeting solutions .Ability to conduct training in the Chesapeake/Norfolk, Virginia area as well as aboard.Current and active Secret Clearance


Desired:

Experience working with the Department of Defense/US Navy.Experience working with Military Sealift Command.Background in Human Resource management systems and/or Financial management systems training.Experience with HRIS Systems and payroll management.Experience in with Instructional Design and Adult Learning Theory.Professional Facilitation and/or Training Certificate.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$56,000-$117,500
