Training Intern (Spring 2025)

The Training intern is responsible for assisting our Learning & Development team with the facilitation of Company Orientation classes, assisting with creating training content, and gaining general overall knowledge of Learning & Development and Human Resources within an organization.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Assist with the facilitation of Company Orientations for all divisions, primarily focusing on the Entertainment Complex Company Orientations *

Assist with the creation of both online and classroom training programs for company, property, and new and returning employees *

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by analyzing survey feedback and providing recommendations and improvements to the Learning & Development team *

Maintain LMS training reports and enter roster information to keep accurate records *

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program for the Spring 2025 semester. Students graduating in December of 2024 will not be considered.

Must be majoring in Business, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Training, or a related major

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to quickly learn additional computer based applications including, UKGPro (scheduling software), LotusNotes (database management), Google Suite, etc.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking.

Must be innovative and be self-motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Must be organized and detail-oriented 

Must be friendly, upbeat, and appeal to various audiences such as other colleagues and guests within the organization

Must display a positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional image compliant with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Job Demands:

The intern will work on-site at both the Human Resources Support Center and the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex Human Resources Office, both located in Hershey, PA.

Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Schedule includes January - May 2025 with the possibility of extending the internship through the end of August.
