**Position Summary**
The Instructional Designer plays a key role in shaping City Winery’s training programs by designing engaging and effective learning materials that support our team’s growth and development. This role reports to and works closely with the Director of Training to assess training needs and create content that enhances learning experiences across various formats, including in-person, online, and blended environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Instructional Design & Development**
+ Assess training needs and define learning objectives with the Director of Training.
+ Design and develop curriculum, courses, and materials aligned with City Winery’s training strategy.
+ Apply instructional design principles to create engaging learning experiences.
+ Develop assessments to measure learning effectiveness.
**Analysis & Reporting**
+ Establish a reporting structure to track and communicate training metrics.
+ Assess learning outcomes and provide feedback to improve retention.
+ Connect training initiatives to business goals and demonstrate ROI.
+ Use assessments and feedback to refine instructional content and methods.
**Content Creation**
+ Develop interactive modules, videos, simulations, job aids, and instructor-led materials.
+ Leverage technology to create engaging digital content.
+ Ensure materials are visually appealing, user-friendly, and on-brand.
+ Revise materials based on feedback and business needs.
**Organization of Content**
+ Maintain a well-organized, searchable repository for training content.
+ Update materials regularly as new content becomes available.
**Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Partner with the COO, HR, and leadership teams to align training programs with company goals.
**What We’re Looking For**
+ Experience as an Instructional Designer or related role.
+ 1-2 years of print & e-learning instructional design experience.
+ 2+ years of graphic design experience.
+ Proficiency in eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
+ Experience with video editing, content creation, and voiceovers.
+ Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia tools is a plus.
+ 2+ years of restaurant industry experience preferred.
+ Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
+ Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to bring learning to life.
+ Ability to share design samples.
