Training Specialist 1 -  BWX Technologies, Inc.  (Nuclear Fuel Services)  -  Erwin, TN

 

 

Summary Description of Job:

 

Responsibilities include developing, planning, coordinating, scheduling, delivering, and evaluating the training program for assigned program area(s).

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Perform task analysis and learn the tasks/jobs in the assigned program area(s). Learn the training process and instructional design concepts used by the NFS Training Department.  Develop and build excellent presentation skills. Deliver/present training courses as assigned. Research and assess training needs. Plan and develop training programs in assigned program area(s). Coordinate course logistics including notification and scheduling. Work with Training Specialist II and III in the planning, selecting, and coordination of relevant programs and curriculum from external NFS sources. Assist in modifying/customizing these programs as necessary to most accurately meet NFS program area(s) needs. Assure that the training record of each trainee is timely and accurately reflected in the NFS Training and Qualification computer system. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Training.

 

Education Requirements of Job:

 

B.S. -- Science, Education, or related degree OR in lieu of B. S. degree 8 years' experience in training environment or in assigned program area (operations or safety).

 

Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond Educational or equivalent):

Three to five years' experience in training environment or in assigned program area.

 

Other Requirements:

Experience with radiological safety training program requirements preferred.

 

 

 Pay: $63,000 - $99,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
