Training Specialist

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Training Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a HR Training Specialist you will be responsible for the training and development of Eaton employees to reach their full potential throughout their careers.  In addition, the HR Training Specialist will be responsible for the design and development of training programs needed for the Plant and acts as the lead instructor, assistant, or documentation developer/recorder for training programs given to Eaton employees and contract workers.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,250 - $117,700 a year.

What you’ll do: Work closely with leadership and functions to execute training plan and maintain training records and policies in compliance with ISO 9001 and MESH / OSHA requirements.Design and develop training programs, development programs with local institutions, and onboarding processes necessary to prepare the business for future growth. Use instructional design best practices and digital learning technology to identify the best solution(s) to capture knowledge and ensure proper knowledge transfer for critical manufacturing processes.Identify key metrics for learning effectiveness and monitor results to continually improve course offerings and provide regular status updates to leadership in relation to those metrics. Basic (Required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of three (3) years experience in a training and development role.Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Richmond, VA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications: SAP experience with demonstrated experience in implementing system enhancements with the materials or procurement functionProject Management experienceDirect experience working within materials or procurement Experience in a leadership role within operations Digital-based, multi-lingual training experiencePosition Success Criteria: Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking/presentation skills.Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Ability to create strong relationships with team membersAbility to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communicationsPosition requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirementsAble to identify problems and identify root causes, challenge the status quo, demonstrate courage and the ability to push for ideas to do things better and faster
