Under direction of the Director of Training and Talent Management, the Training Specialist will work closely with program directors and managers to identify training needs, design training content, and support employees' ongoing professional development to enhance operational efficiency and ensure an outstanding customer experience. The candidate for this position will report to the Bronx, NY.
JOB-RELATED DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position. Training Program Development: Design, develop, and update training programs tailored to permanent and temporary housing operations, including onboarding, conflict resolution, de-escalation, trauma informed care, fire safety and prevention, regulatory compliance, and safety standards. Facilitation & Delivery: Conduct engaging training sessions using various methods, including instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning approaches. Adapt training style and approach to meet the needs of diverse audiences across departments. Needs Assessment: Collaborate with managers and department heads to identify training needs, assess skill gaps, and prioritize learning initiatives that align with business goals and improve employee performance. Curriculum Design: Develop instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, manuals, and e-learning modules, ensuring they are relevant, accurate, and compliant with industry regulations. Employee Development: Mentor employees in their professional development by offering guidance on skill-building and growth opportunities, including access to learning resources and personalized coaching when needed. Compliance & Safety: Ensure training programs comply with all relevant housing and safety regulations, and regularly review content to keep it up to date with industry standards and best practices. Program Evaluation: Measure and report on training program effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance tracking. Use data to refine training content and delivery methods continuously. Learning Management System (LMS) Maintenance: Utilize and manage the company’s LMS to enroll employees in training, track progress, maintain records, and generate reports for compliance and management review. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in training and development, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance training effectiveness and engagement. Vendor Payment Processing and Facilitation Management Handle credit card reconciliation monthly while ensuring payment to vendors for outside training. Arrange, coordinate, and facilitate vendor-based training as needed.Pay: $70,000-$71,400 annually
